Profile:
In 1965, The College of Dentistry became the
ninth dental school in Canada. The first two years of
the dental curriculum are closely integrated,
physically and academically, with the College of
Medicine. Clinical training is introduced in the
third year, and in the fourth year, qualified
students are able to participate in the option
program, in which students select a special program
at the College or elsewhere.

Admissions Requirements:
Admission to the College of Dentistry requires
a minimum of two pre-dental years. If courses are
taken at an institution other than the U of S, the
courses used for admission must be equivalent to
those at the U of S. The required pre-dental courses
include coursework in English (literature and
composition), general biology, chemistry (general and
organic), physics, biochemistry, and courses in the
social sciences or humanities. Selection criteria are
weighted as follows: academic record (65%), Canadian
DAT (25%), and interviews (10%).
