The largest university-affiliated dental
hygiene program in the United States, the College of
Dentistry at Ohio State University seeks to provide
comprehensive patient care in an unparalleled
learning environment.
Graduate studies and residency programs are
offered in general dentistry, oral and maxillofacial
surgery, anesthesiology, oral pathology,
orthodontics, periodontology, endodontics, dental
materials, pediatric dentistry, and
prosthodontics.

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60
semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) at an accredited
four-year college. The school strongly recommends
applicants to complete their bachelor's degree prior
to enrollment in dental school.
Prospective dental students are required to

In addition to a strong science background,
students are encouraged to have a well-rounded
liberal arts education. Coursework in drawing,
three-dimensional art, psychology, interpersonal
communication, accounting and marketing are
recommended as well as additional studies in Biology
such as: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Embryology,
Histology, and Physiology.
