Profile:
The School of Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University prides itself on educating its students from the start in both the didactic and clinical settings. Unlike many schools, clinical experience begins early in the first year, and at the school's on-site clinics, every pre-dental student is assigned his or her own operatory. The School is also committed to teaching its students business management, so that upon graduation, they are both well-trained clinicians and entrepreneurs. Graduate and residency programs are offered in general dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours of collegiate courses. The school strongly encourages applicants to complete their baccalaureate degree prior to enrollment in dental school. Predental requirements are as follows:

  Biology - 6 Semester Units
  Chemistry - 6 Semester Units
Organic Chemistry - 6 Semester Units
  Physics - 6 Semester Units
  English - 6 Semester Units

Predental science electives in Comparative Anatomy, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Physiology are recommended as well as electives in the social sciences and humanities.
