Profile:
The DDS program at the UB School of Dental
Medicine is consistently ranked among the top dental
programs in the nation. Clinical care is an essential
part of the curriculum-even during the first year,
when students begin working with patients, with close
supervision. Graduates from UB are highly sought
after for the most competitive general practice
residency programs where newly graduated dentists
acquire an additional year of training in a hospital
or clinic setting.

Admissions Requirements:
All students applying to the New York
University College of Dentistry must have a
bachelor's degree from an accredited college or
university. Consideration will also be given to
students with at least a G.P.A. of 3.5 who have
completed 90 credits.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 90
credit hours of undergraduate study, with a minimum
of 60 credit hours - two full years - at an
accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university.
All applicants must complete the following
prerequisite courses:
Biology w/lab - 6-8 Semester
Units
Organic Chemistry w/lab - 6-8
Semester Units
Physics w/lab - 6-8 Semester
Units
English - 6 Semester
Units
Students are encouraged to take courses in
psychology, sociology, public speaking, composition,
and the humanities to better interact with patients.
Courses in statistics and computer science are also
strongly encouraged.
