Profile:
Founded in 1865, the New York University College of Dentistry is the largest and third oldest dental school in the United States. The college offers professional training leading to the D.D.S. degree, as well as postgraduate and specialty training, delivered with the added bonus of a metropolitan setting.

Admissions Requirements:
All students applying to the New York University College of Dentistry must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Consideration will also be given to students with at least a G.P.A. of 3.5 who have completed 90 credits.

The following minimum prerequisite course requirements must be met:

  Biology w/lab - 6-8 Semester Units
  Inorganic Chemistry w/lab - 6-8 Semester Units
  Organic Chemistry w/lab - 6-8 Semester Units
  Physics w/lab - 6-8 Semester Units
  English - 6 Semester Units

In addition, certain courses beyond these requirements are strongly recommended and considered by the Admissions Committee. Suggested areas include business/finance, computer sciences and technology, upper-level science courses, sociology, psychology, and English.
