Profile:
Since 1956, the New Jersey Dental School (part
of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New
Jersey) has offered top-quality education to its
students through its four-year curriculum that
includes selective/elective programs, small group
instruction and comprehensive patient care
experiences in several settings including the dental
school clinics, community clinics and University
Hospital.
The New Jersey Dental School also offers
postgraduate specialty training in Endodontics,
General Practice, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,
Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Oral
Medicine, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry,
Periodontics and Prosthodontics. In addition,
students can take advantage of combined advanced
degree-clinical specialty programs with the Graduate
School of Biomedical Sciences.

Admissions Requirements:
Most students admitted to the dental school
have a bachelor's degree or at least three years of
full-time undergraduate study in an accredited
college or university.
The minimum predental requirements are as
follows:
Biology - 8 Semester
Units
Inorganic Chemistry - 8
Semester Units
Organic Chemistry - 8 Semester
Units
Physics - 8 Semester
Units
English - 6 Semester
Units
Students are encouraged to include courses in
government, economics, and social and behavioral
sciences as part of their elective study.
