Founded in 1867, Harvard Dental School was the first university-based dental school in the country. The School's philosophy, which links dentistry and medicine, reflects a broad perspective on oral health. HSDM is widely recognized as a leader in shaping national policy on oral healthcare. Admissions Requirements:

One year or 8 semester hours are required in each of the following subjects:

  Biology w/lab- 8 Semester Units
  General Chemistry - 8 Semester Units
  Inorganic Chemistry - 8 Semester Units
  Organic Chemistry - 8 Semester Units
  Physics - 8 Semester Units
  English Composition - 8 Semester Units

It is also recommended that applicants have at least two or three advanced science courses such as biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, or genetics. Courses social and behavioral sciences, the arts and humanities, a foreign language, computer science, statistics and technology are also encouraged.
