Profile:
The School of Dental Medicine at Southern
Illinois University strives to provide predoctoral
students the opportunity to acquire and integrate the
foundation knowledge and skills in the biomedical,
behavioral, clinical and medical sciences necessary
to become competent practitioners. Established in
1969, the SDM has facilities in three locations:
Alton, Edwardsville and East St. Louis. The School's
small student body (approximately 200 students)
allows for a high level of interaction among students
and faculty.

Admissions Requirements:
Each applicant is evaluated in terms of their
composite scholastic record, calculation of the
required science courses' credit point average,
quality of preprofessional education, performance on
the Dental Admission Test, recommendations, and other
elements as determined by the school.
