Profile:
Nova Southeastern University is Florida's
largest independent institution of higher learning.
The College of Dental Medicine was first established
in 1996, and is one of six schools in Nova's Health
Professions Division. The Colleges of Osteopathic
Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, and Allied Health and
Medical Sciences make up the other health profession
schools. The Dental Medicine Patient Care Center,
located in Nova Southeastern University's newly
constructed College of Dental Medicine building,
offers patients both comprehensive and specialty care
within a university setting. This care has also been
expanded to its new Satellite Dental Clinic located
in North Miami Beach.

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 90
semester hours of course work at a regionally
accredited college or university. Not more than 60
semester hours from community or junior college will
be applied to the 90 semester hour minimum. Students
should have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher on a
four point scale. In addition, students should have a
science grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
Students have must earned a grade of 2.0 or higher in
each of the following required courses:
General Biology w/lab - 8
Semester Hours
General Chemistry w/lab - 8
Semester Hours
Organic Chemistry w/lab - 8
Semester Hours
Physics w/lab - 8 Semester
Hours
English Composition - 8
Semester Hours
English Literature - 8
Semester Hours
Additional biology courses, including anatomy,
biochemistry or physiology are strongly
recommended.
